About

At the age of 21 Gary Sturm was cast as the romantic lead in the first play for which he auditioned. He went on to appear in leading or supporting roles in a number of theater productions including: The Big Knife, Desire Under The Elms, Holiday for Lovers, Barefoot in Athens, The Lady’s Not For Burning and other plays. Still in his early twenties, Gary later did some directing, including the short film The Casualty, and a television pilot before leaving the business to finish school (M.A., English) and raise a family.

In 2000 he returned to his first love of acting and has since performed in indie films such as Sasquatch Hunters and Yard Sale, as well as national television commercials. He was most recently cast as “Grandpa Read” in the DVD children’s series: Quiet Time Tales.
